ABSTRACT
Employee is a key element of the organization. The success or failure of the organization depends on employee performance. Therefore, organizations are investing huge amount of money on employee development. The purpose of this study is to understand the importance of employee appreciation and how it directly relates to job performance in the workforce. This study will investigate the different strategies to best motivate employees to obtain the maximum profit for the company. The primary focus will be on ways to maximize the employees’ drive and commitment by showing appreciation through various management techniques. This study will also identify options to reward high achievers, as well as motivate all employees, with the goal to improve their performance and to better the company as a whole.
INTRODUCTION
Employee development means to develop the abilities of an individual employee and organization as a whole so; hence employee development consists of individual or employee and overall growth of the employee as when employees of the organization would develop the organization, organization would be more flourished and the employee performance would increase (Elena P. 2000). Therefore, there is a direct relationship between Employee Development and Employee Performance. As when employees would be more developed, they would be more satisfied with the job, more committed with the job and the performance would be increased. When employee performance would increase, this will lead to the organization effectiveness (Champathes, 2006). And also showing recognition and appreciation to employees can ultimately improve a company 's image and profits. Employee appreciation is done in many ways, big and small, and is most effective when incorporated into the workplace culture. When Employees throw their heart and soul into their work daily it means
