First, people need know this is not something they can easily avoid or reduce. It is very difficult to filter things around us because industries do not want to self-destruct their businesses. Also, government do not regulate or take any actions banning the products (Smith & Lourie, 2009 p.33-68). So that many chemicals were never tested is being used in many consumer products. Most of all people need to know they cannot completely avoid it, unless the industries or countries ban chemicals to not to be used in all products. Yet, there are ways to avoid and reduce it. People need to educate family and friends about endocrine disruptor and EDCs. People should buy more organic food. Avoid cheese and meat whenever possible because it contaminated with chemicals directly from cow or factories (Bogdan, Carmen, Stelian, & Tania, 2011). Avoid heating plastic containers of food, or storing food in plastic containers or plastic wraps (Smith & Lourie, 2009 p.33-68). Do not buy sprays like hair fresheners, bug-free sprays because it has high level of expo sure to EDCs. Do not hand out toys made out of plastics to children since the plastic is made out of harmful chemicals. Because of plastics children are most vulnerable to EDCs. People should be careful with personal-care products, for many personal-care products contain dangerous …show more content…
In wildlife and laboratory animals observations show exposure to chemicals may cause birth defects, neurological disorder, genital malformation, cancer, infertility, declining males and more. There is limited data of humans exposed to EDCs but there is no firm evidence to say EDCs is fully liable for adverse health outcome. If people commence to understand what endocrine disruptor and EDC is then they help each other eliminate unnecessary EDC surrounding them. This reduces exposure to chemicals from keeping it rising. If human are more exposed, the effect will be much more impacting towards people. So it is better to avoid or reduce the
