ENG 090 Basic Composition
Only human who questions their existence and only care for their well-being life while all

other animals and plants continue to live without bothering about this question. Money is the

most concerned thing in life that combines both good and bad aspects. Time is the most valuable

thing that human can spend. Therefore, in my opinion, life, money and time are the most

necessery things in this world that really interest me to learn how to live happily and sucessfully,

how is money’s aspects in the reality and how to have the correct use of time.

A friend of mine once told “Live the life you are dreaming” and that advide becomes my

motivation to look for ideas of happy and successful life that I want to have. Life is very

complex affair. It is not simply eating, enjoying and finally dying. Every creatures do these but in

case of human I think we have to lead a highly complicated life. I have known someone that she

prefers to be a dog, a cat or a bird in another life since these creatures have no worries. But I

wonder wether such animals are rational or not. Life is meaningful because human has the

capacity to think but animals do not. Thereforce, the concept of “happy and successful life”

really appear from only human mind. Life is full of choices. And some say that I am lucky and

some say that I am not when I have parents decide choices very often for me. And I think a first

certain quality to have a happy life is when we suppose to decide to be who you are are in life, in

other words what you would like to be. It is rightly said that life is 5% of inspiration and 95%

perspiration. Nobody in life iis perfect but one should have the courage to live near perfection. If

you pursue your purpose and work for attaining, the meaning of life will be understood.

As a child, money sseems like a simple thing to me because at that time I thought money

is just color papers to buy candy, chips and

In this article, “A Change of Heart about Animals,” Jeremy Rifkin argues that animals are the same as humans because they have emotions, cognitive abilities and are self-aware. Rifkin supports his argument by using the rhetorical tools of comparing and pathos. His purpose is to encourage people to take action in order to treat animals more humanely. His audience is people who read the LA Times and his tone is compassionate.…

It is understood that this may be an attempt to encourage readers that may not believe in the concept of animals having rights to look at a bigger picture in relation to this topic and find connections. However, the idea of including aliens as a means of supporting her argument regarding animals is not something that the group was able to connect with as aliens are not considered a part of our society or law. The criticism that Sarah and Katie have regarding this argument is that Midgley discusses how using intelligence is not a viable way to determine if something is or is not a person, but feels that measuring the emotional complexity of the non-human is just as, if not more, challenging to measure accurately. Perhaps in some species, their emotional capabilities are not known to human beings because the animal reflects them in a way that we do not understand. While there is appreciation for the thought that emotions should be included as criteria in determining if something is or is not a person, Midgley should provide some information pertaining to the method in which this information can be…

Humans are animals, but they are very different than any other animals. Many things can prove us that humans are one of a kind, like their intelligence for example. Even though humans and animals have many activities in common (sleeping, eating, mating, and defending), human beings have a fifth faculty: the intelligence to inquire into the truth of our existence (Butler and Guru). The following text will explain why human beings should be considered unique and why they should be in a different category from all the other non-human animals.…

Although animal moral considerability has peaked the interest of many contemporary philosophers, such as James Rachels and Peter Singer, the question is really an age-old question that can be traced back to Plato and Aristotle. Immanuel Kant has probed the question of whether an animal has moral considerability. Kant continuously makes the distinction between humans and animals throughout his best-known contributions to moral philosophy. Therefore, I will address and present the counter-argument to the charge of speciesism, one of critical arguments of the animal rights movement, through a Kantian lens.…
