Nowadays the world is becoming smaller by globalization. It is becoming so not only for the fact that you can be transported easily, and in a few hours or days to the farthest location on Earth, but also for the incredible speed you can be deliver and receive information from anywhere in the world. But these new features that our global society is experiencing, need also a skilled and well approved language in order to accomplish its purposes. So does the world benefits from a global language? The answer is Yes. Is the English language the best choice available? The answer is Yes.

Since the earliest times of human history, with the developing of trading and moving, speaking and acknowledging foreign languages became a necessity. Not only trade, but also empires and large kingdoms needed their own currency, language and an efficient transport network. So for people speaking a well-known language, despite if it was their native or not became a condition. Of course with the changing of time and the rising of new empires, new languages came to perspective. So knowing and establishing a common language for exchanging values in goods and culture became a necessity. A small group of Australian teens team up to take back their country after an occupying army sweeps in and takes over in this adaptation of John Marsden's best-selling novel. 17 year old Ellie Linton and her friends live in the quiet coastal town of Wirrawee. As the holidays draw to a close and school looms on the horizon, Ellie longs for one last adventure before heading back into the classroom. Her wish comes true when her parents agree to let her use the Land Rover for a week camping adventure in Hell, a secluded paradise with a deceptive name. At first, everything is perfect. Ellie and best friends pass their time basking in the sun, and wading in a picturesque waterfall. But the fun comes to a sudden end when the group notices a fleet of unidentified jets cutting through the night sky. Shaken, they return home to find that the entire population of Wirrawee has vanished, and all power has been cut off. The teens' greatest fears are confirmed shortly thereafter, when they discover that the local show grounds have been transformed into a makeshift prison camp, and that everyone they know has been imprisoned by the invading military. Many people hear the word “Military” and automatically think about the infantrymen in the Marine Corps. It’s actually not at all as bad as the media makes it seem. The military has many different branches that focus on a key task. Although, I am in the Army so I will compare that branch to the Marines. Even with the Marines and the Army being ground-based branches and offer many similar career fields, the two branches are different in many crucial areas. To accurately compare and contrast the services, it is important to look at their overall missions and career fields.…

When you were in school have you ever came back from vacation and forgot what you have learned? Most kids when they come back from summer vacation they forgot most of the material they had just learned. Or during school students complain “I want more time off”. No one gets excited about school but if kids were used to getting no summer break then they wouldn’t have the need to want more time off. The traditional three-summer vacation should not be maintained because over summer students forget what they learned, the holiday breaks will be longer, and the students will be able to learn more.…

Morrie Schwartz was a great man. He was a man who searched for and found contentment in life by enjoying each moment to its fullest. He was my beloved husband and father of my two sons Rob and Jon. We will never forget his kindness, his compassion, and his love towards others. Through his guidance and wisdom; he has helped others figure out the meaning of life for themselves. Morrie has impacted me in a great way, and probably has to the rest of you. He has taught me peace, forgiveness, love, and compassion. I couldn’t have done it without him. He helped me build a strong family foundation filled with giving, receiving, love and affections. Most kids these days are shy of their parents, but not our family. Our family is quite the opposite because of Morrie. I have learnt a great many lessons from Morrie, and I’m sure a lot of these lessons you have learned as well. There are some important lessons I would like to share with all of you today, that Morrie would have liked me to say. First is his family. Morrie once said “If I was divorced, or living alone and had no children. This disease would be so much harder to get through. Sure people would come and visit, like friends and associates but it’s not the same as having someone who will not leave. Someone you know who is watching you, someone you know who truly loves you”. If I never had been taught that lesson, I wouldn’t be cherishing my family as much as I do today. One last great lesson Morrie has probably taught us all is “love goes on”. Morrie always said that when you die, your relationships you had on earth never dies. Your body leaves but people will always still have you in their hearts. Morrie will live on through all of us. I don’t,…

A lifestyle without the modern gadgets sounds quite a hard life to live. But let’s look deep and analyze both sides of this. Life de-modernized would be a time consuming one requiring a lot of time and effort, there is no work which cannot be done without the assistance of machines and there is not a single area of human activity where machines don’t have to be used. No one can deny the fact that gadgets have not only simplified our lives but also made them more comfortable and luxurious. But on the contrary man’s dependence on them has increased so much that we just cannot do without them at all. If cabs go off the road we cannot reach our destinations. No cooking without LPG cylinder or cooking flame. No, we can’t do even simple calculations, what to talk of washing without washing machine or electricity. If electricity fails, life for each one of us comes to a standstill as all gadgets are operated with it be it AC, TV, computer, a telephone, or any other modern appliance. Time is very precious in today’s era. Everyone wants to do things in very short span. The quotation “Stitch in time saves nine” means if you finish something in time, you will be able to do ten things in the time you saved. Keeping this in view, scientists and technologists developed many new things to save as much time as possible. In each and every sphere of life we can find machines and gadgets that save our time a lot. Whether it is business, transport, education, communication, new technology did a lot.…
