14 February 12 Rocky and YZ Rocky is a Labrador Retriever and Yz is a Chihuahua. They are both amazing pets and have awesome personalities. The only thing they share in common though, is the fact that they are both dogs, and they are both males. They are good dogs, but are very different from one another. They have different personalities, size and appearance, energy levels, and behave differently. The most obvious difference is their appearance. Rocky is yellow and white, and he weighs about 85 pounds. Yz is brown with white spots, and weighs four pounds. As you can see, Rocky is huge, and Yz is tiny. Rocky has a very stocky, muscular body, and has big paws. Yz looks thin, and has thin legs and tiny paws. Most dogs have brown eyes, but these two even have different eye colors. Rocky’s eyes are dark brown, while Yz’s eyes are a dark green color. These two dogs are around each other 24/7, but because they have different energy levels, they are not always doing the same thing. Rocky is turning seven years old, so he is not as active as he used to be. He likes to lie around and relax. Rocky still loves to play rough and run around, but he just does not do that as often as he used to. Yz just turned one a few months ago, so he is barely out of his puppy stage. Yz is very hyper, and loves to run, jump, and play. He can only be still for a little at a time, unless he is taking a nap, or sleeping for the night. Rocky’s endurance is weakening slowly, and he does not run around for as long as he used. Yz has all the energy in the world though, and his endurance is probably at its best, so he is always prancing and running around. Rocky and Yz both have incredible personalities, which cannot compare to any other dogs, but they are very different. Rocky has always been a very loyal, sweet dog. He is one of a kind. It seems like he can feel other

The first major comparison would be their personalities; each is very loyal, loving, social, intelligent, alert, and playful. Both of my puppies are the sweetest caring and energetic breeds I have ever endured. The Second biggest similarity would be their body type which would be classified as small. Maltese and Toy poodles are smaller dogs average up to ten inches in height and weighs around ten pounds or less. I…

Buck's character traits mark him as being well adapted to life in the Yukon. First, Buck displays his intelligence. When other dogs pester Buck, he quickly, yet serenely, intimidates them. Buck accentuates, "Here and there savage dogs rushed upon him, but he bristled his neck hair and snarled (for he was learning fast), and they let him go his way unmolested" (19). Buck utilizes his intellect to eliminate his antagonists. Buck may have been physically injured had he not been so astute. Secondly, Buck exhibits his imagination. During Buck's battle with Spitz, a dog who appears to be Buck's archenemy, Buck employs deep thought in how to defeat Spitz. Buck emphasizes, "He rushed, as though attempting the old shoulder trick, but at the last instant swept low to the snow and in" (43-44). Spitz is an extremely tough creature to conquer. Buck fathoms that he can not overpower Spitz. Therefore, he tries to outwit Spitz. His clever maneuver gives him an advantage over his adversary. Lastly, Buck demonstrates his aggressiveness. After Buck destroys Spitz, the current lead dog of the sled, he feels that he deserves the privilege to be the new head of the team. Instead, Francois, the dog driver, chooses Sol-leks, another dog, to be the new lead dog of the sled. Buck underscores, "Buck sprang upon Sol-leks in a fury, driving him back and standing in his place" (45). Buck possesses fierceness that drives him to…

Pit bulls love to spread joy and happiness, and love seeing their family smile and happy. Dogs can sense any change in emotion much faster than humans can by using their sense of smell. Dogs seem to genuinely care about their owner's emotions and can listen and respond better than most humans (Skloot 1). Whether it is an adult or child, pit bulls just want to see the people that they love happy (Gladwell 1). Dogs love to give big wet slobbery kisses to everyone they meet. Puppies love to cuddle with their family in big cozy blankets. Canines are always happily wagging their tails, and are always ready to play with the…
