Recycling is the process in which waste materials are change into new products. Recycling is preferred over landfills disposal because it conservers our natural resources and it is more environmentally benign. Moreover, many individuals think that recycling involved separating waste from materials but that is only the first step. For recycling to work, there must be a market for recycled goods. In addition, when recycling occurs the economic is strong and the large amount of recycling varies from year to year. Besides this, there are many advantages and disadvantages to recycling.
One of the advantages is that recycling is good for the economy because it generate jobs. Another advantages to recycling is that it protect our natural resources, many in which it cannot be restore. A third advantage is that it saves energy and prevents pollution caused by manufacturing of products from virgin materials. Besides this, recycling decrease the greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate change.
Furthermore, there are many disadvantages to recycling. A large disadvantage in recycling plant themselves is that it causes a large amount of pollution through the toxins that are release in some recycling processes. Another disadvantage in recycling metal is that it’s very hard to extract from product such as the stove because it contains other materials besides metal. These include glass, plastic and rubber. A third disadvantage is that each material needs its own special machinery and chemicals in order to be properly recycled.
In conclusion, I think that recycling is a good alternative because it helps us get rid of waste materials that are no longer needed. Also, recycling is a good alternative because we can save money and reused some waste that are still in good condition. In addition, recycling protect the environment from harm. Overall, recycling is a way of life, in which we all should be part of to live a long and healthy life.
