Envy: The Seven Deadly Sins
Envy is known as “one of the seven deadly sins,” as told by Robert Solomon. Envy means, to want something without merit, or without a rightful claim over it. As a person grows envious, they show off their possessions, or belongings to provoke envy in others; this often leads to an increase in their own self-esteem. Ordinarily, people will become envious because, of a valuable possession someone holds, or, a certain feature (a person has). In fact, one of the main reasons, envy is considered a sin is because, it causes a person to lose their respect.
