Epidimeology Study
The article in which I selected focuses on scrubs clothing worn by nurses working in the healthcare environment. The study was conducted to see if certain clothing textures such as traditional cotton-polyester scrubs, silver-alloy embedded fibers, or a combination of embedded antibacterial materials showed a favorable difference over another when it came to being repellent against germs. Scrubs are worn to serve many purposes such as identify staff, easy accessibility, help easily identify containments if spilled on them but, most importantly they are thought to be cleaner than personal clothing due to the simple fact of high heat tempatures in which they can be washed. In this article it discussed the possible issue, the originator of the source, and the probability of risk. Any other form of research would usually not go into such depth of the issue but focus their attention more on the beginning and the end to find the best resolution. What I have discovered about the practice of epidimeology is that they are more througough in their research. With looking and assessing many angles when it comes to being informative and making things easier to understand. The connection that I mostly identify with is the need to always show a greater level of understanding. Historically epidimemologist thrived when it came to finding reasoning to diseases such as choler and smallpox and the potential threat it could impose. Even today that is still the foundation of epidemiologist and what sets them apart from other researchers. Hippocrates was the first epidemiologist also known as the father of medicine his legacy was based on making sure to make the understanding and breaking down of the disease to the simplist form. He understood that in order to help people to be more informed he had to teach and present the information that I gather in a way a fifth grader would understand it. Which is why I belive today communicatiin is so important and it is a must speak to people in a way that it is to asumulate and comprehend on any level.
