In the beginning, Equality 7-2521 believes that everything that someone cannot see, or cannot hear, is a sin. At the end of the book, Equality 7-2521 knows that being tall is not a sin, being smart is not a sin, and that thinking for yourself is not a sin. Prometheus has changed his name, showing that he is really independent. He has changed “we” to “I”, and he says that it is not a sin, and I agree with him all the way. He could have been trapped under the Council's rule for his entire life, and he would never had known what freedom felt like, what thinking for yourself felt like.
