Equality And Social Class In The Time Machine

Equality and social status or class has been the topic talked about for ages: someone left to work while those above them strive and do nothing and leave those behind to do the hard work. In “The Time Machine”, this topic is implied in a very interesting way between two classes: the "Eloi" and the “Morlocks”. Which of the two is on top?

In the time machine a man referred as “The Time Traveler” travels towards an unknown future, there, he realizes Humanity has changed and adapted. He then meets two fractions, one he names the Eloi, and another, which he deducts to be an under version of humanity that has evolved to live underground called the Morlocks. It's here where its first showing who's the favorite race, the Eloi are described as a small and fragile people but they have beauty and are appealing while the morlocks are said to be "filthy and cold" (6,1) as well as "inhuman and malign" (7,1). Using these phrases it shows what the morlocks are thought out to be as these unworthy unappealing creatures again thought to be inferior.
He escaped from the lair but can't seem to shake off the feeling that the morlocks may have some Authority in this world after all expressing "ages ago, thousands of generations ago, man had thrust his brother man out of the ease and the Sunshine, and now the brother was coming back- change" (7,2) this emphasizes a fact later revealed that the meat that he was found in the lair was that of eloi. It seems that once the morlocks ran out of food underground they had to look for another option putting the morlocks above the aloi for they were now on top of the food chain, making them the superior race when it comes to
