If you are not aware that home cooked meals are healthier than fast foods meals, then let me explain to you why. Although people tend to be more convenience in fast foods, home cooked meals are considered to give you much more advantages. Eating healthy brings healthiness without making dramatic change in your life. Using the food pyramid is another way of eating healthy. Home cooked meals are generally considered healthier than fast food. Why, because fast food meals typically contain high levels of calories, fats, sugar, salt, etc. People don’t look at the health risks that come along with fast foods all because they don’t have time to select and prepare a home cooked meal. In today’s society, fast food is a faster way to eat. There are benefits of home cooked meals that outweigh the use of fast foods. Eating fast foods periodically to save time is beneficial, depending on the lifestyle or the person utilizing this nourishment. If a person eats too much fast food on a daily source of nourishment without exercising, it could cause a health problem. Home cooked meals win hands down versus the fast foods we all eat. You are in control of what goes into your food when they are home cooked. People still turn to fast food meals despite of the health benefits. When you are eating out, you are not aware of the ingredient that’s placed into the foods that’s cooked at the restaurant. Do you want to contract high cholesterol all because you are not eating healthy, because that’s where you are headed.

First, home cooked meals are way healthier than fast foods and cheaper. They are delicious, fresh, and do not contain as much fat as in fast foods. With home cooked meals, you are adding and subtracting whatever you want. The price you spend on ingredients, gas, electricity, etc. when you cook at home, the cost is different and not as large as people believe. These ingredients are chosen by yourself so you will know what’s placed into your foods. Preparing meals at home,

In conclusion, the first Thanksgiving and today’s Thanksgiving have many things in common. I enjoy the holiday because I am able to spend time with family that I do not get to see often. I also enjoy the food and sharing what all I am thankful for with my loved ones. One thing for sure, I am glad the pilgrims and Native Americans created this wonderful holiday!…

Planning the perfect party is never easy, but it is often the most rewarding. Party is an interesting event. When planning, keep in mind how many people to invite, the location, and a theme. Whether it is a large or small party, taking a few minutes to create a plan ensures the perfect party will be a success. First, deciding the location is the most important aspect because it affects all others: the guest list, the budget, the menu, and to an extent, the theme. It needs to be large enough to accommodate everyone invited, have a large enough food preparation area, and ample space for the decorations. It is important to find a place that will not cause the person to become suspicious. Second, it is necessary to know the person well in order to pick a theme they will appreciate. When choosing a…

For this assignment, I chose Sir Ken Robinson’s talk on how schools kill the creativity of the children they teach. In his roughly 20 minute speech in Monterey California, in February 2006, he took center stage to deliver a humorous monologue on the spark of creativity. He pointed out that it was his belief that everyone has an interest in education, and it runs deep with us as a society, because it drives the way our culture performs. His talk points out that education is the catalyst preparing us for the future. His speech addresses the fact that that right now no one knows what the future will hold for us. In 20 years or even five, we are unable to predict with any certainty what the world will require of its population. The question is because we don’t know what the future holds how do we educate for it? No matter where you travel in the world today the education systems are set up in the same general order of importance. Math, Science, Language, and Humanities always are at the top of the education list, with creative activities such as Arts, Dancing, and Theater at the bottom. In his speech, he spoke of the education system of today being antiquated to the developments over the last 50 years. The current system developed in the 19th century to accommodate the educational needs of industrial growth has lost its edge. Today's world with its growing population and advanced development will require creative and innovative ideas to continue forging ahead for the future. In order to come up with new creative ideas to pave the way for the world of tomorrow, we will need to develop the creativity of our children. With the current education system, this will be an issue unless the system is allowed to change and develops creativity alongside academics.…

People blame fast food restaurants that they are offering unhealthy foods to the public. However, this is not the case since fast foods are healthy, but when taken in large quantities and on a regular basis, they may have adverse effects on one’s body. In turn, this makes it the people’s responsibility to watch the amount of fast foods they ingest. Moreover, one is not forced to eat from their vast menu of fast foods in the various restaurants. Hence, people have a choice on whether to take in fast foods or neglect the temptation and eat home cooked meals (Rose web).…

In the real world today, people from every background have faced the reality of social life and where they believe they would thrive the most. Although we think we are always right in any given situation, it never really turns out that way and encounters with fitting in and the decisions made to be included in a certain social group acknowledge the fact that sometimes we are wrong. A quote by Rick Warren states, “Those who follow the crowd usually get lost in it.” This comment describes that once we become a follower, it is difficult to change, and may become trapped in the life of doing acts and deeds for the leader who takes all the credit while we starve just to keep in the category of a follower. In both short stories, “Greasy Lake” and “Initiation”, the main characters are confronted with decisions that makes it very hard for them to pull themselves out of. The two stories commonly share the same message that maturity, temptations, and peer-pressure arise all the time and how we deal with it determines our future.…

As I look at essays from school and letters that I wrote to friends, my writing is like two different languages. For essays, I would write every single word out and my letters to my friends would have almost every word shortened. W/e, FYI, lol, w/b, lylas, brb. Sometimes I even use those words when I talk to my friends. I have even used the shortened words while I talked to my parents and they have told me to stop speaking gibberish and start speaking English. It is especially hard to write every single word out in school after summer break when all I did when I wrote was text my friends or write with the shortened words on MSN Messenger.…

As a graduating senior of Cook High School, I have attended school for approximately 2,324 days; going off the phrase, “You learn something new everyday.” that would suggest that I would have learned 2,324 lessons from school alone. To only say that one of the 2,324 lessons shaped me more than the rest would be false. They all have shaped me and made me into the person that I am today. However, talking about all of the lessons that have shaped me is not logical, I will share a lesson that I learned from my seventh grade math teacher, Ms. Canfield.…

When asked about my life time goals and where I see myself either five years or twenty years into the future, that is a question that seems almost impossible to answer. As a teenager, I have some idea as to what I would like to do with my future, and I would say that it’s loosely based on the life I have today. Thankfully I’ve had the opportunity to attend a school that not only prepares me for what college and life after high school may be like; but also has given me the tools necessary to be able to function in a teambuilding atmosphere. After all, isn’t that the first question an employee would ask in a job interview?…
