These campaigns have been both successes and failures, a few of the effective movements being Go 2 & 5 and Measure Up. Go 2 & 5 aired between April and July in 2005 and was aimed mostly at children aged between 5 and 13 due to its eye catching colours and almost animated quality of its mascots (Elliott and Walker, 2007). This campaign aimed to teach people about the importance of having an intake of the correct amount of fruit and veg each day. By ensuring that Australians are receiving the correct amount of fruits and vegetables in their daily diet, Go 2&5 is hoping to protect against a number of diseases and help maintain a healthy weight in adults and children (Go for 2&5, 2007). Go 2&5 encourages people to eat more vegetables than fruit because, even though both are equally nutritious, fruit contains high levels of natural sugars. A large consumption of fruit can lead your blood sugar levels to quickly rise, thus resulting in a quick energy fall (Foster, n.d.). The Measure Up campaign was a aimed at men and women between the ages of 25 and 50 who have children. The target of this campaign was to raise awareness on the health risks of not making good health choices such as getting physical activity and eating healthily. By making men and women aware on the health problems they can accumulate, such as high blood pressure and stroke, the founders of the campaign are hoping to teach
