Obesity In America Persuasive Essay
Just thinking about unhealthy food makes most Americans mouth water. Obesity in the U.S has become a huge problem in recent years. America's obesity epidemic has hit a new high with 35 percent of obesity among men and 40.4 percent among women in 2013-2014. Most Americans feel embarrassed to even walk next to an obese person or even go near them without feeling claustrophobic. Obese people are an embarrassment to society and are making America look like an unhealthy place to live.
Not only are adults suffering from obesity, children as young as eight years old are too. Children who are obese are at higher risk for having chronic health conditions and/or diseases that impact their physical health more than adults. Asthma, sleep apnea, bone and joint problems, type two diabetes, etc. are some examples of these health conditions. Other children who are at a healthy weight might get intimidated by these kids and might turn to tease the obese kids because of how much space they take up. There needs to be a solution to this epidemic so American citizens don't have to be irritated every time they step outside of their homes. How are we going to be able to make America great again if we have so many obese people? All these problems society is facing because of obesity is exactly why we should execute all obese people so America can …show more content…
look like the healthy and prosperous country it was meant to be. We can take people's medical reports to see how much they weigh and if they are over the amount of weight they are supposed to be, then we take them to an abandoned island and execute them there. When we execute these people, less money would be used for fast food restaurants, weight loss programs, and we do not have to waste the federal budget on them. Also, they do not have to worry about any of the diseases or conditions they are going to get in the future because we are taking them out of their misery by executing them.
Many people might disagree to these solutions, however, executing them is the only way possible to get America to its desired state of prosperity.
A future without obesity is a better future for America. The people who disagree with this solution think that we should place tighter controls on the weight loss industry, create better access to evidence-based weight management programs, or create national advertising campaigns that promote healthier eating. However, these solutions are pretty bad and still waste a lot of money. Why waste money on sick obese people when we could be using the money to bomb random countries that we think are
threats?
Considering all this, there really is no better solution other than executing them. Obesity is a real problem these days and just sitting here wasting money on them is not going to help America. We need to execute all obese people in order to better our society. Healthy weight people are getting intimidated and are being forced to tease the obese people to get away from them. Obesity is the real reason claustrophobia exists and helping and encouraging obese people to lose weight will not solve the problem. So how about we kill all obese people instead and make America great again.
