Without a doubt, The Roman Empire was one of the strongest and greatest empires that has ever existed in the ancient world. The Roman Empire could have stayed as one of the strongest empires but however, a number of external and internal problems lead to the fall of Rome. The Empire fell over a number of years and there were many factors causing this outcome. Two of the factors contributing to their fall can include; Emperors lived decadent life styles and were costly to maintain and the Barbarians learnt military tactics from the Romans and used them against the Romans.

The photo on the side indicates that not having enough money to repair the roads is a problem. The information we can interpret from the road supports the idea that all the rocks and bumps are hard to travel across . Strong roads obviously help in battle but also help to get food and supplies across to people easier. (rome.mrdonn.org/barbarians.html) In mr Donn's website, he states that there was no money left to pay the Roman soldiers as pervious emperors had wasted the money and argue that having no money left due to it being wasted lead to the fall of Rome. Essentially Emperors lived decadent life styles which were costly to maintain contributed to the fall of Rome as there was no more money left to help and pay the army.
