Did you know that Rome was one of the biggest empires of all time? By the 5th century AD, Rome was starting to fall. An empire can fall by having a bad economy, military, and/or government. These were the reasons that Rome fell. The most important reason, however, was the military. The first main reason reason that Rome fell was because of its economy. The economy was a main issue because of the rising taxes. This led to economic hardship, driving people out of the empire. Another reason that this is an issue is because people had to pay for justice. Poor people were punished more for their crimes, while a rich man was not. All those problems drove people out of here empire, weakening it. Another reason that Rome fell was because of its government. Through the years, its leaders became corrupt. Rome went from a republic to an emperor-rules-all system. They stopped serving justice properly, and as a result, people left due to the lack of proper justice. Its soldiers were not disciplined and loyal. They thought they didn't need training drills. Then they became less skilled. This left the empire vulnerable to attackers because if the army is bad, they are easy to defeat. In conclusion, there were other issues that contributed to the fall of Rome. They were not as important as the issues described above though. Some of these smaller issues were disease, size, and education. However, the main reasons, economy, government, and military, contributed the most to the fall of
