The Fate of Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet is one of the most known Shakespearian play driven by fate or poor influenced decisions? Although decisions play a role in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare it doesn't play as much as fate. From the play when the Servant ran into romeo, and asked him to read the guest list was all driven by fate. Also when Balthasar happens to see Juliet's fake funeral, and immediately does to tell Romeo. Fate lead to him hearing this sorrowful news, and is a key factor in the end. Fate clearly has more of a say in what happens to Romeo and Juliet then decisions. When the Servant talked to romeo, the letter not reaching Romeo, and when Balthasar went to tell Romeo of Juliet's death was all driven by fate.
