Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. These are the three famous words stated from The Declaration of Independence. To America hopefully these three things will be never forgotten. Same is said for The Declaration of Independence. I have two question for these three words and that is what are they and what do they mean.
What is happiness and do we have it? Happiness is believed that it is the one thing that makes you smile. Now, that is mostly true but there is more than one way to get happiness. Some people get their happiness from money and others get from family and/or friends. What is liberty and do we use it? Liberty is believed to us that it is the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, political views, and/or the power or scope to act as one pleases. People think that individuals should enjoy the liberty to pursue their own interests and preferences and others think different. Why do you think we have law enforcement! It is even said throughout most of “The Declaration of Independence” that people abused their power and liberty and the that’s why we took independence in America. “The Declaration of Independence” even states that “Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.” Now, do we have liberty and do we use it? The answer to that question is yes. America does have liberty and we do use it. We, America, carry our liberty with pride and that is a good thing. The reason why that is such a good thing is because we prove that we have something that no one else has and that we, America, can keep
