The MMPI-2 can be used to help assess major symptoms of social and personal instability, identify appropriate candidates for high-risk public safety positions, support classification, treatment, and assist in management decisions in criminal justice correctional settings. It has also been helpful in giving a strong practical foundation for a clinician’s expert testimony (Groth-Marnat, 2009). The MMPI-2 is also used to assess medical patients and design effective treatment strategies, including chronic pain management, evaluate participants in substance abuse programs select appropriate treatment approaches. Another useful contribution of the MMPI-2 is to support college and career counselling recommendations and to provide valuable insight for marriage and family counselling (Groth-Marnat,
