With have to work twenty-four hours a day and barely getting any sleep. You may not even get a lunch break at all, because you might have people coming in on your lunch break whose water just broke. You might have to spend ten minutes to 15 hours in one room because you never know how long the birthing process may take. You may not have a chance to use the restroom because you're packed with people whose water just broke. An obstetrician average salary is 162,480. That is starting out of the first year and your hourly wage is seventy eight dollars. Educational requirements are you have to have a professional degree . Six years of college and two years of undergraduate school. One year of internship.
Cost of the education will be about 100,000 dollars with all the collage it will take. It will take me about ten years to complete all the collage. That does not include the one year internship so it will take me about 11 years before I can actually go to work. I plan on going to Sam Houston State University.
In conclusion some advantages are that I can work with babies and hold them and help the moms. Disadvantages are that I may not give the right amount of epidural or the moms can be real
