There is a difference between prejudice and racism. Prejudice is preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. Yes, white people can be the target of ignorance or bigotry, but not racism. So to speak, racism describes a system of disadvantages based on race. White people have never been oppressed. Throughout history, they have never been the victims of slavery, forced culture genocide, mass genocides, or stereotypes that affect their ability to get a job, which came to be because of historical events.

Affirmative action is when companies or colleges favor those who historically have suffered from discrimination within a culture.
