Summary
I selected ‘To what extent has screen time impacted childhood obesity in Australia?’ as my research question since I wanted to study a topic surrounding the well-being of children due to my strong intention of working in that area. The research processes used for the written outcome were reviewing articles, surveying, interviewing, viewing multimedia, reading government, education and news sites, and uncategorised online research. The key findings from my research were, screen use has increased dramatically, it can enhance learning, screen time and obesity are detrimental to mental and physical health and monitoring and reducing screen time could reduce obesity. I concluded that screen time is now the main cause of childhood obesity in Australia and has taken over lack of physical exercise as the leading cause. Word Count: 147
