Firstly, men do not care if women are uncomfortable, they are forced women to do things against their will. For example, Lady Capulet proves women in Verona are forced to marry by stating "Here in Verona, ladies of esteem are made already mothers. By my count, I was your mother much upon these years"(I, iii, 71-74). Lady Capulet explains, women are married and have kids before the age of 13. This shows women do not have much say to when and who they marry. A more specific example is when Capulet threatens to disown and abandon Juliet if she did not agree to marry Paris. Like when Romeo claims to be deeply in love with Rosalind, but when Romeo meets Juliet, he completely forgets about Rosalind. Romeo's quick change of love interests shocks Friar Lawrence, as he states "Holy Saint Francis, what a change is here! Is Rosaline, whom thou didst love so dear, So soon forsaken? Young men’s love then lies not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes"(II, iii, 65-68). Friar Lawrence explains men do not care about women's feelings or personality.
