While there are conflicting views on the term gamesmanship, it is not a cheat, but a necessity in the sports we watch today. It is clear that if another team were to use gamesmanship it would then entice the other team to play dirty as well creating a vicious cycle. To not resort to a devious tactic would decrease their chances of winning greatly, but not to zero. It becomes a transparent topic throughout the years, but gamesmanship is a part of the game as long as it is not officially identified as a cheat.
