The Western Roman Empire was enormous and it had lots of great qualities. It was greater and stronger than any other empires in the world. But not everything lasts forever. The Western Roman Empire met its demise with four critical points. The Romans dealt with political disputes, economic issues, deadly diseases, and attacks from foreign invaders. Political problems started the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The Romans were led by 37 different emperors. They were cruel, greedy, and they were unfit to rule a massive empire. Some of the emperors were mentally unstable and gained the position through inheritance. As a result of this, some of the emperors were assassinated by their Praetorian Guard and there was no system in place to replace an emperor. This caused civil wars to break out all over the empire. The legions of Rome fought against each other, and the citizens revolted. The citizens revolted against the corrupt government, the poor living conditions, and high taxes. Which led to many economic issues. Economic issues were also a contributing factor to the fall of the Western Roman Empire.
