Essay On Tom Robinson Trial

Tomorrow is trial for Tom Robinson. He is accused of the rape of Mayella Ewell, a white, nineteen year old girl. Although I am extremely nervous for the pending verdict, my evidence may change Tom’s fate. I can’t help fearing the worst things that can happen during and after this case. My mind is running with thoughts like, what will be the final verdict, will this trial be fair and lastly, how will my dearest children react? Fingers crossed my evidence will bring my client to justice. My thoughts on how this verdict will turn out are thundering like a storm in my head. Of course there is only a fifty-fifty chance of Tom and I winning this case but it is all based off the jury and what they want. Losing this case and how it will impact Tom and his family are the worst thoughts protruding in my imagination. But, my evidence boosts my confidence of winning by a lot. Tom’s left arm is useless to him because of an accident that took place in his early age. This might not bring the rights Tom deserves but it will hopefully bring the jury to a standstill in what their decision is and have them really think about Tom’s innocence. I believe the equality of this trial is what will kill the evidence I have for my side of the case. We, as humans, are in a time where black people are known as the inferior race. They are treated
I already know my largest piece of evidence will be a game changer in the court case. Equality most likely won’t happen because, well, racism is so prominent in this age and fairness is just not going to be altered. Even though I may lose the case and there will be no blindside to the separate races, I am still depending on my kids too still walk around with their heads held high and not caring about what the community thinks. But, I can only hope for the best and let fate decide if I have a victory in my hands or
