He was above the law. When the monster came to life, his creature did not possess the memories of the people who had gone before him. The creature was a blank slate; just because human body parts are combined doesn’t mean that the end product would be humane. The creation held no conscience and no sense of reasoning. It was a child born without guidance or knowledge of morality. There should be limits on technological advances. Frankenstein’s rustic version of cloning crossed acceptable boundaries. This was borderline Zombie-like, raising the undead.
Furthermore, Frankenstein could not provide the nurturing environment that a “newborn” would require. His creation needed guidance and support. But Frankenstein was too selfish to think beyond himself. This is the lesson the creature learned from his creator. The innocence of his monster contrasted the selfishness of Frankenstein. Frankenstein was weak, unable to follow through with his original objective: to create an entity that would make a positive impact on the medical
