Essay Success And Money
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:
Only people who earn a lot of money are successful.

Nowadays, it is generally agreed that only people who earned a lot of money are successful. We spend the majority of our working hours at work - earning for living, providing for our families and saving our retirement. Although money no doubt plays big role in determining the quality and nature of our style of living, but to be frank I can not agree with this statement. In my point of view money and succes are two different things where having money will not lead to be a successful human and being a successful will not lead to gain a lot of money.
First of all, there are people whom we consider to be rich and whom are having a luxurious things at their homes. When we are considering them, it seems that they earn money via gembling, prostitution, drug dealing or via unpleasant way. Even though they seems to be happy, but they are pretending themselves, they are not happy nor successful.
Secondly, there are successful people such as teachers, who shapes the behavior or the lives of future generation and provide them education. Most of teachers do not have luxurious lives as they do not have lot of money. In contrast with that, they have self respect and satisfaction from people, society. In my opinion, they are most successful people, because they are truly happy on what they have.
Thirdly, We have seen most rich persons are not healthy, because they are busy, stressful and restless. Even though, they could afford themselves richest hospitals, see professional doctors and have healthy food, but they do not gain any well-being on their everyday activities.
To sum up, In my opinion money and success are two different things, where success can get into earning much money, but money will never create a successful and healthy person.

Many people say wealth is the key to measuring success; they are wrong. Success should be measured upon ones happiness, the friends one has and if their goals in life have been attained. It is like saying you can never buy happiness. The American dream is often considered being affluent, but once one becomes rich- if ever- that's all he ever gains and won't be truly happy or successful. This is confirmed time after time again in F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby and in other readings and movies; it has in all probability been proven in your own experiences also. Success is like a rubber-band ball where you keep building and building upon it in hopes to make it a truly grand item to boast.…

“It seems only natural that happiness should flow from having more money. Even if they don’t admit it, people still behave as though it were true. More money means you can have what you want and do what you want.” (Dean 2008). Wealth and possessions do not equal happiness because no matter how much money and gems you have you can not buy feelings, but only comfort, also if you are working hard for more money you are experiencing more stress and negative emotions.…

While some people equate having wealth and power as being successful, that is often not the case. Although earning and having money is an important aspect of our economy and existence, earning large sums of money is not an accurate way of measuring nor determining if a person is successful or not. Those who find true satisfaction in life, regardless of their wealth or social status, are the ones who have reached true success. As put into words by award-winning author Maya Angelou, "success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it." True success is achieved when an individual has reached a point in their life where their goals and achievements are meaningful and…

Most people measure success monetarily. We spend the majority of our lives working towards success (“Defining success”). The word “success” is defined in the Merriam Webster dictionary as the attainment of wealth, favor, or eminence. Individuals who would be considered successful in this generation are Kim Kardashian or even Justin Bieber. These celebrities simply live in the moment, without thinking about what their goals are. Everyone wants to be known for something. Success takes several different forms but because of societal issues we have lost sight of its true definition. The media and today's society have brainwashed the citizens of the world to believe the deceit that in order to be successful you need to have the largest house, newest car, clothes, five star dining, and to travel every other month. This is how success is defined, this is what many aim for. But it is not however how I was raised, my mom taught me that the definition of success, similar to life is in the eye of the beholder, and most importantly success should be a synonym for a person's happiness. You can drive a Bentley and live in a million dollar, but you're not truly successful you love what you do, and love accomplishing your goals more than receiving the award.…
