time parents play the biggest role when it comes in how ethics is learned throughout the course of their off-spring’s life. Parents have their own fundamental ethics that inevitably influence their child due. Ethics begin with the generations of parents and family members, but it doesn't stop there. With age, every person consigns themselves to a certain type of friend group; this happens usually because everyone in that friend group has the same core of ethics. People mold and try to conform with these friends as time goes on, expanding on the ethics that were learned while the person was younger. Most importantly though, ethics do come from within. Once a person has collected information on ethics around them, people can then decide which ethics agree with that the person believes in or works best for them. For example, when Snot’s (Laurel’s) troop was planning on ambushing Troop 909, Snot was very adverse to the idea and even went to clean up bathroom instead; prime example of a person not following a “friend” group and making a decision for oneself. Everything must be put into perspective, even ethics. When it comes to ethical boundaries for children of younger ages, the boundaries lie between age, race, and mentality.
Majority of these boundaries are set by parents and by the society that the children are living in. When babies are born they have no boundaries on ethics or anything really for that matter, nothing seems to matter to babies or children of such a young age. Children do not often know any differences between the ages, races, or the different disabilities that different children possess; that is, unless they are taught differently. Children are often compared to sponges because of all the information that they seem to absorb when parents and family members are conversing between themselves. For example, Snot’s troop mates appear to have a hostile mentality toward Caucasian people. That everything that was funny and “uppidy” like high-watered jeans was somehow related to Caucasians. This type of boundary between African Americans and Caucasians do not start with these children, but with the parents at home or anyone that as segregated beliefs. This mindset usually comes from an experience that was endured by someone from either side. Experiences help mold a person in a real life
manner. Around the world, it has became evident that past offenses and experiences impact peoples ethics and how they teach ethics to the people around them. Connecting to the world today, there are a lot of people in the United States that change their ethics toward Muslims because of the terrorists over the world. Some Americans then raise their children up with that same belief and think it is okay to be rude to a religion that has no control of their extremists parts. If certain people did not have to experience racism or bullying from disabilities than peoples ethics and morals would be way higher in a positive view. However there are good experiences that people go through that could help change their views of the world to a more lighter tone. Without experiences though, there would not be a real life component to connect beliefs and ethics into the real world and put them into affect. In conclusion, ethics is learned and manipulate throughout the course of ones life in many different forms. Whether it is learning basic ethic skills from parents, friends, and determining ethics for yourself. Learning the ethic boundaries that are set by society and form the way people act and who they act with. Then connecting it all to the experiences that a person can go through within their life that helps shape them in a w ay bigger than themselves. Ethics are immensely important and are hopefully taught correctly and transferred in a positive upbeat manner from one human being to the next.
