In the situation previously stated I was able to gather both pros and cons about the choices I had to decide from. The pros of telling my coach and betraying my teammates is that would be keeping playing time and trust with my coach, but the cons are having my teammates upset with and not speak to me. Making my choice is the third step in my process this is where I take the gathered information from step one and the predicted future in step two to ethically decide which is morally correct. Deciding with telling my coach the truth and betraying my teammates won my ethically design process. I was taught to never lie and knowing that if I were to lie I would risk my playing team and respect my coach had towards me was more disappointing to me than betraying my friends and having them upset with me.
