Ethical Obligation Paper

As an outplacement counselor, I could not give the HR lead a recommendation for Irwin. I have a professional responsibility and must make ethical decisions that will positively impact my organization. My obligation to Irwin it to be truthful and to offer a development plan to improve and develop the necessary skills to make him more employable. My obligation to my client company and Irwin’s former company is not to offer Irwin as a can date but offer other applicants that meet the needs of the position.
The deontological theory focuses on duty rather than focusing the consequences. My duty as placement counselor is to help people with job-related issues, such as finding work, setting career goals but most importantly meet the hiring needs
