at the moment because she feels a “funeral,” in her head the majority of time a person fell very melanchol and sick when they attend these events. The speaker seems to also be reality because the speaker seems as though “sense was breaking through (line 4),” this speaker is finally coming to a sense or waking up from this reality what the world really is. That there is no really reason to suffer because the speaker hears “them life a box (line 9),” which could indicate that the speaker has a new view to a new reality. However, with a new reality there is there could also be stranger things to come, and even some that are made up. As the poem goes the speaker imagines she is between the real world and the a fictional funeral taking place in their mind because the speaker can that sense the mourners inside walking with the “same boots of lead,” stepping form side to side driving the speaker to think how inconsiderate people can be to a funeral, but at the same time the speaker is not aware of her state in which she is in. This could all be their grief on of they felt on the day of a funeral that she is remembering or the they are remembering how they felt on a funeral. The thought of horrible experience could cause some people to even go a little insane to the point of even hearing noises like the sound drums “beating-beating… until [your] mind [feels] numb.” like there is no escape these repetitive sound are unpleasant because it remind the speaker of the service and their mind goes numb because a person can only take so much of suffering or pain whatever it might be. This means that the speaker will find it very difficult to escape from the funeral. In the end I think the death of a person or just on self will drive any person crazy to the point of hearing loud drums inside a person brain or just imaging your are there over aging. I believe that the speaker had could have been through a funeral recently, and that grief has gotten the best of them, but “ then space- [begins] to toll,” and it becomes possible to get out of any grief or suffering that any person might have because all we have to do is to sometimes think how small a person is to the world and even smaller to space. And then any might begin to “drop down, and down.” Until every one just hits a blank phase their grief and suffering.
