One of my favorite restaurants to eat at is Osaka, a well-known authentic Japanese restaurant in Plano Texas that offers a variety of sushi, sashimi, and fresh seafood. The experience at Osaka is very exciting because of the exotic culture and Japanese folk songs. The price at Osaka is fair and the food is delicious. Every time you go the owner always serves you with a cup of fresh Japanese green tea and a friendly smile. In my opinion, a good restaurant should have comfortable atmosphere, outstanding cleanliness, welcoming staff with friendly knowledgeable service, tasty food, reasonable price, and a great location. A restaurant should have all these elements to make it a desirable place to eat.
Osaka is served in a foreign culture style atmosphere; it allows you to feel the rich Japanese culture without actually going to Japan. One of the first noticeable things when you enter the restaurant is the architecture. The building is designed like a Japanese temple. When you walk in, the receptionist leads you to a family style Japanese dining table called Tatami Chabudai. It’s a small table with two cushions on each side that is very relaxing and comfortable which reminds you of being at home. Your surroundings are very well decorated with traditional Japanese artifacts such as koinobori, the Japanese fish flag, and the geisha statues around the room. At each table there is a dim red candle. The candlelight is so gloomy it creates a foggy environment that also adds a little mysterious color to the restaurant. On each wall, a poster of Japanese cuisine is displayed, from which you can learn while enjoying a nice meal. I found this restaurant overall very well designed and appealing to people who like Japanese cuisines.
Cleanliness is one of the top priorities when evaluating a good restaurant. A dirty restaurant will damage your health and make you lose your appetite. Osaka’s performance is excellent in restaurant cleanliness.
