Simon and Piggy’s death are of different styles but they contain the same malignant principles. Just before Simon dies, the boys are all in a state of innocence. But when they murder him, the evil of human nature takes over and controls the minds of the boys. "The rock struck Piggy a glancing blow from chin to knee...Piggy, saying nothing, with no time for even a grunt, traveled through the air sideways from the rock, turning over as he went.” Piggy’s purposeful death committed by Roger is even worse showing that savagery and murder is at the basis of human thoughts.
