Worldview
What is a worldview?
Worldview is your way of interpreting, seeing or filtering the world you live in. Having a worldview is an evaluation system against what the world is telling you to believe from what your morals or beliefs are. Your own worldview is based on several influences in your life like your family, friends, and teachers or other influential figures in your life. There are five evaluating keys you can use to see if what the world is saying lines up with what is truth. (Weider & Gutierrez,2014) Below is a brief example of these keys explained.

Biblical/Christian Worldview Origin - How did life begin? How did mankind come onto existence? God created the earth and everything in and around it in six days. In those six days, “God created the heavens and the earth…”. (Genesis 1:1-1:27 HCSB) He spoke and things became. He also formed the land and sea, the animals and plants. Then “God created man in his own image…” (Genesis 1:26 HCSB) He created Adam from dust and breathed life into him. God created Eve from Adam to help rule over the earth and take care of God’s creations. Identity – What does it mean to be human? Are humans more important than animals? God chose to create Adam …show more content…
What will happen to me when I die? Eternal life is for all of God’s people but only those who repent and have been saved through Jesus Christ may enter in to heaven. By turning away from sin (repentance) and accepting Christ in your heart (salvation), you are saved (grace) and you can live an eternal life in heaven. (John 3:16) (Luke 18:18-30) The alternative is hell, “the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.” (Revelation 19:20)
