The first question of a worldview is where am I? We are on the earth that God created with words and wisdom. In Genesis one God created the world and he said it was good. Brian Walsh and Richard Middleton write in their book, The Transforming Vision, “So wisdom is not merely God’s plan for creation in the abstract; it is the wise way he actually designed and ordered the world (Walsh 47).” He created and designed the world exactly how he wanted it to look and function. The western worldview tends to want to use the resources for their own good and try to change how the world was created. Many times we think, how can I use these resources for what I want to do, not what God wants us to do with what we have. Genesis 1:27 states, “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” The Bible tells us that God created us in the image of him, to be holy and loving. Meanwhile, our western worldview tells us to be unique, independent, and strong. America was founded on the idea of having our own independence. There are numerous ads and campaigns telling people to be their own person and to be independent. With independence comes being strong. If you are strong, you can do anything and you do not need anyone in your life, but in reality, we need Christ to help us every day because we can not make it through this world by
