Realism in philosophy means everything put into the Realism point of view. “One January day, thirty years ago, the little town of Hanover, anchored on a windy Nebraska tableland, was trying not to be blown away". She went through hardships which she reflects on when John gives the farm to Alexandra and after that moment her brothers don’t believe in her capability of running the farm. The world does not believe in Romantic views, what happens happens and life goes on and people can not prevent any event from happening. My views, like Cather, creates a Naturalistic view onto life. By Cather believing in the things she did, she set the bar and became a role model for most woman and still today some could look at her as in inspiration for knowing what she could achieve doing so in that time period.
