The Battle Between Good & Evil In The Eyes Of Utterson
The Story is Told by Mr. Utterson, who’s friend Dr. Henry Jekyll has been acting weird. Utterson investigates and witnesses strange events, which all finish up in Dr. Jekyll being locked in this Laboratory. making his servants frightten and making belive he becane insane. The truth is known through some letters that Jekyll has written, saying he has creat a kind of potion that change him to Mr. Hyde. Will he is Hyde; Jekyll start killing because he feels freedom.
That “Freedom” to the evil is something that is frequntly talked specially in the Social Nerworks. Many people make bad things like insulting in blogs, discussion boards and other websites to anoymity. However, This book brings into perspective the conflicts, which every person struggles with between good and evil. It is the belief that "man is not truly one, but truly two",which causes Henry Jekyll to take on the task of separating the identities so that "the unjust might go his way"¦ and the just could walk steadfastly and securely on his upward path". believes have the ability to sperate the selves. here is no way to know. Dr. Jekyll believes his mission is so universally important that he risks death, and drinks his potion. After a few hours, he mutates into a grotesque, malicious creature of a man
Stevenson does a great job of making the book of suspence.
You are never sure of when Jekyll 's secret will be revealed to the public or even to his dear friend Utterson. When he get with other people, the reader has no idea what to expect. The reader is worried for the life of the individuals who interacts with Mr. Hyde because it becomes obvious that he is an inhumane person when he kills a small bitch girl early on in the story and then kills an elderly man later on in the book. "Mr. Utterson 's nerves, at this unlooked-for termination, gave a jerk that nearly threw him from his balance; but he re-collected his courage and followed the butler into the laboratory building and through the surgical theatre, with its lumber of crates and bottles, to the foot of the
stair."(Pg.41)
It is believed that every human being has the capacity for good and evil. The good side is the person who do what is right and to be honest and living a perfect life. The bad side is when people to allow their lower selves loose the control of them selves by getting angry or doing things that no like a “Beast”. By bringing both sides to life in this novel, Stevenson allows the reader to examine the lower side of Dr. Jekyll. Theres a phrase in the Movie of the Book that i really like and i thinks it’s true in its meaning: “but if for humanity arrives at wisdom today morning have to go through a stage of violence, maybe there will be no a tomorrow”.
