She is Chinese and expresses racism in many ways including instances where she talks about her granddaughter Sophie being Americanized not acting like a normal Chinese child. In society today, racism still very much exists. I am a victim of racism. Currently working in a bank as an Information Technologist majority of my clients are either white or Asian and they treat me very badly, saying things in front of my face such as “why do they have a black girl fixing our computers?” I personally hold my head high and continue my day completely my work. I know I am intelligent and good at what I do, why should I tolerate what they say about me?
