Excerpt From 'To Kill A Mockingbird'-Personal Narrative
Now you know my secret and why I am so sad for this will be my last birthday with my family. After sitting and thinking about it I do believe faking my death would be the kinder way. That would give my family the opportunity to grieve.
Part Three - THE HUNT
Scout could feel Tazzy in his Dragon form lying next to her. He had stayed that way to help her get use to his Dragon form. It had worked she actually found that she liked his Dragon form the green was unusual and she just loved to rub his wings they felt like velvet. She started to curl up under his wing when she realized what today was, and she instantly got nervous.

As she walked past her closet she smelt something funny, but was too focused on a shower to care right now. While she was washing her hair she thought Wizard Meg, he has never mentioned anything about wizards before. Scout made a mental note to ask Tazzy about them later.
After her shower she was looking in the mirror and realized that those little lines around her eyes were gone. A plus side to what is her new life she thought, after all what woman wants to get wrinkles. Scout towel wrapped her head and wrapped one around her body and headed toward her closet.
She entered her walk-in closet and the smell got stronger. Standing in the middle of her walk-in was a dress pole that was not there before. Hanging from the pole was the most beautiful dress she had ever seen and it was the same green color as Tazzy’s Dragon form, but it smelled funny.
The smell was not bad just different. There was some beautiful jewelry hanging from a small hook on the hanger. One necklace caught her attention it was amazing it had a green stone hanging off the end, but it had Dragon claws three on each side that were pointing up and not down making it look backwards. She watched for a minute longer then asked. “What time do we need to leave and where are we meeting the other Keepers?”
Tazzy sat next to the dress he seemed to be really drawn to it. “We need to leave in about two hours and we will meet in the Sequoia’s. There is a secret fire ring off the path behind the General Sherman.”
Scout thought about that for a minute then said. “Wait that area is crowed with hunters right now. I mean what if they see us?” Tazzy let out a little chuckle and said. “They are normally our first victims.”
Scout was worried because a friend of hers hunts that area every year. She reached for her phone she figured it could not hurt just to tell him not to go in that area this year.
Tazzy pushed the phone back down to the table and said. “No Scout, I’m sorry but you can’t warn anyone. People have a tendency to get to curious and start asking questions that you will not be able to answer. Not without risking their life. You know that if anyone finds out about us they must die.”
