Sirens blaring up the country road, policeman coming to my home, and seeing it all broken and messed up on the TV. There was not one day that would go by, when I couldn’t just get up for another school day and see that people were actually trying to be nice and make a difference, it seemed like all I ever saw was hatred. My sister and I would stay up late just to watch CSI Miami and Law and Order. We would each try to figure out if that person was actually guilty or not. A game was made out of it, who could bust the case first. Disagreeing on every possible thought that each of us had though was a constant. If I believed they were guilty, she believed in their innocence and vice versa. Hatred for injustice though, was something that we both shared an equal amount of passion for.

Whenever a person was wrongly convicted of a crime they obviously didn’t do, anger and frustration filled our minds. Being only children, we thought this kind of, “stupid stuff”, only happened on the TV and in the movies. That the system that our great country created, would fight for every person. I still don’t myself since I am only 18 at the moment. I have a long road ahead of me, yet one thing I do know is that liberation must be given to those who rightly deserve it and those who are responsible be held accountable for their actions and be punished accordingly. This country was founded on liberty and justice but the older I get the less and less I see of that. My goal in helping to change this world, even if it’s only a little bit and it takes me one step at a time, through blood, sweat, tears, late nights until the early morning sun shines its light through my windows, I want and will become a
