Explain The Three Categories Of Child Advocacy
When working in early childhood education there are many tasks that educators face daily. Our children can be the biggest challenges that we may have to face. Our children need a strong advocates to fight for them. Our children challenges occur in the home, school classrooms as well as in the community for several reasons and we need to make sure that our children have a voice. In order to be an strong advocate we choose which philosophies and reasons voiced by other people or societies we would like to support. Philosophies and reasons can fall within the three categories of child advocacy. The three categories of child advocacy are personal, private and public. Personal advocate is someone who assist in all matter of a child that may have a disability and their family and deals with issues and concerns the child or the parent may have about their child. As an teacher we have to understand what is wrong with our children both mentally and emotionally. Educators who are child/children advocates some how support their rights in a democratic way in order to represent them in school as well as in society (Fennimore, 2007). When it comes to being a advocate for children all children should be treated equally and fairly. For example, fi you have a children with any disabilities does not mean they have the rights to an education to learn.
Two regulations are serious in developing an educational program for children with a disability or other special needs. When teaching children that have any type of disability we as teacher have to make sure that the children are that the children are getting best education offer. However the two laws fits the standards that the children receive appropriate education.

    However with shortage of special education teachers, and an attempt to bridge the gap with a general education teacher could lead to lack of effective instruction practices, peer support, and/or assistive technology for students with disabilities. The inability of a general education teacher to meet the goals of the individual education programs (IEP) of a special education student due to the challenge of balancing it with the general education curriculum for all other students, would create a legal issue due to the violation of the special education student’s rights under the IDEIA.
