There are three main codes of practice which relate to handling information. firstly there is the records management code of practice, this code of practice is made up of guidelines to follow for consistent and effective management of any records.
Another code of practice is the code of practice on confidential information. In this code of practice it highlights how vitally important it is to treat any information you come across confidentiality. this code of practice relates most to my job role as a healthcare assistant as I deal with confidential information in residents care files on a daily basis.
Finally the last code of practice is the information security management code of practice. this one is similar to the first code of practice
