My first reason pets should not be allowed in classrooms is that they can be dangerous. According to the world society for the protection of animals says that if a classroom pet dies “it's not that bad for the animals but is devastating to the students.” A classroom pet also supports breeders and the cruel pet trade. Many small animals used as class “pets” come from awful breeding facilities where they’re kept in horrific and filthy conditions, poor and non-proper veterinary care, and left can be vulnerable to abuse. Breeders also directly contribute to the severe overpopulation crisis and destroy shelter animals chances of finding good homes. Keeping animals in a classroom can danger a student's. If you leave the animals there over the weekend and don't give them enough water or food they die from dehydration and starvation. Plus, they go through 5 days of loudness then 2 days of isolation so it can be very stressful. What if a fire or a power outage happens if there is a fire the teacher and the children will most likely leave the animals to die and flee out of the building? For the power outage there will be no heat, light and the water won't run causing the animal to die. They’re at risk of abuse.
