Asia is Latin America and the Caribbean’s second largest trading partner after the US. As Asia demanded for commodities, the result was a trade between Asia and Latin America/the Caribbean grew over 20% a year in the past decade, receiving a lot of pay. Followed by the Creoles, who were of Spanish descent, but were considered inferior because they were born in Latin America. The Creoles lead the revolutions to gain more political power; they also revolted to retain the power they already had over the other social classes. Three main arguments are political, nationalism and economic problems.
Nationalism is based on the premise that individuals loyalty and devotion like a sort of feeling,
patriotism and more about your pride, beliefs , effort . all of them feel really strong connections “... we are struggling to maintain ourselves in the country that gave us birth against the opposite of the invaders.” ( A ) creoles wanted to be superior in latin America but apart from that they felt a connection to the native indians because of ht they presumed to their homeland . Lot of mexican priest expressed their confidence belief that spanish were evil, extracting the latin american to recover the stolen lands from time back . The spanish had no reason to absorb to go for Latin America, so the Creoles revolution was an act of fulfillment to there country . This revolution was in need, in order to put power on someone who was born in latin America. “We are disputing with the natives for titles of ownership and at all the same time we are struggling to maintain ourselves in the country that gave us birth against the opposition of the invaders “ They did not consider themselves Spaniards, so they would often fight with the natives.
Political power was a rational motive. They were the second highest class, the creoles and peninsulares Creoles hd a much higher percentage of population than the peninsulares. “ The creoles had growing economic and social influence” They believed in values and equality. Peninsulares had all power over Latin America. Both Latin America and North America were colonized by nations overseas. Latin America was controlled by Spain. They were both ruled by monarchs. The creoles had motivation that values equality . Everyone wanted some type of power towards one another but they also revolted to retain the power they already had over the other social classes.
Economic problems were sometimes the basic or central problem. Assert That an economy's resources are insufficient. Spain's economic laws forced latin americans to sell at a higher or lower amount. “ we in america are perhaps the first to be forced by our own government to sell our products at artificially low prices and buy what we need at artificially high prices.” (C)Creoles felt that spanish is taking advantage of their hard work and effort put in, and preventing them all from making enough profit to pay and to have. Spain regulated the colonies, goods that were imported and exported causing a lot harm and damage. The first economic problem they faced was a period of temporary economic decline "In 1808-1809 drought produced a great mortality among Mexico's livestock and decimated the harvest... Food prices tripled. As in the past, agrarian (agricultural) crisis soon affected the rest of the economy" ( D) . They were worried they would be left with no power. Since they threatened the creoles “ Creoles elites, indigants and threatened..” (D).
