Why did you choose this scene to illustrate?
This short scene from Chapter 7 essentially describes the feelings and emotion in the Chapter. Daisy and Gatsby both had an affectionate moment together. Tom witnessed this moment and realized that Daisy and Gatsby love each other. However, Tom does not let this get to him and immediately changes the topic of the conversation. Throughout the Chapter Tom brings up moments from his and Daisy’s past to prove to Gatsby that Daisy loves him. …show more content…
Since I am not a good artist, I tried to make a simple drawing that would help the reader picture what was really going on. However I did try to incorporate details and symbols such as a smile or grin on the characters face. During this scene, they were all sitting outside under the veranda in Toms house, thus I drew a large patio with the characters relaxing.
What, if anything, did drawing it help you see that you had not noticed before?
After drawing this scene, I noticed that Daisy felt more comfortable and alive when Gatsby was with her, and she didn’t even care that Tom was in her presence.
