To prepare myself now for being an effective change leader and facilitator I can educate myself on the process of change initiatives and how other companies have successfully implemented radical change initiatives. It is important to have an understanding of change in business and one way of obtaining that understanding may be through higher education such and college or training. I would also try to read books and articles about strategic management. Radical change is typically when a business or organization is changing a lot like a merger with another company or changing the way they do business. Jackson (2009) said that “radical change is relatively infrequent and generally takes a long time to complete. It touches everyone and everything in the organization”. (Jackson, Schuler & Werner, 2008) I think that I would more often be expected to lead and facilitate Incremental change which is “an ongoing process of evolution over time, during which many small changes occur routinely. The cumulative effect of many small changes may be to transform the organization totally”. (Jackson, Schuler & Werner, 2008)…

Recycling is one of the key issues that are presented as one of the tools of environment saving. Recycling is an attitude that every person can follow in order to be a part of the earth saving process. “Helping to reduce the problems that are affecting our environment is something we all want to do, but it can be often difficult to know where to start. Collecting materials like glass, cans , paper, clothes and plastics is something we all can do, everyday, in our homes”[1].However recycling is a cycle that does not work unless each of the private and public sectors plays his role and corporate with the other. The argument of this paper is to analyze the role of private institutions in the recycling process. The AUB recycling project is the case study chosen for this issue.…

    Change Theory

Change is uncomfortable. Change is raw. Change in the process is ugly, but the completed task is gorgeous. Change is a transformation, determining your destiny and your future. Leo Buscaglia once said "Change is the end result of all true learning. Change involves three things: First, dissatisfaction with self -- a felt void or need; second, a decision to change to fill the void or need; and third, a conscious dedication to the process of growth and change -- the willful act of making the change, doing something." Making a change requires a kind of leap of faith: you decide to move in the direction of the unknown on the promise that something will be better for you. But you have no proof. Taking that leap of faith is risky, and people will only take active steps toward the unknown if they genuinely believe – and perhaps more importantly, feel – that the risks of standing still are greater than those of moving forward in a new direction.…
