Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to determine the level of perception on factors affecting the performance of BSBA students during On-the-Job Training. The significant difference on the perception level when the respondents are grouped according to profile was also considered. This study were participated by fifty (50) selected BSBA students from evening and upward mobility program (UMP). Descriptive-comparative type of research was employed in this study. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling technique. Results have revealed that majority of the respondents is female ages 20-23 years old which comprised about 78% of the total population. It also shows the trainees belong to third year evening and weekend class of Brokenshire College with more than half of the total population (86%). The results further revealed that time availability, personality, and the problem encountered show significant difference in terms of gender. Majority of respondents strongly agreed that time management (x=4.42), personality (x=4.47), and competence (x=4.66) are the factors affecting performance of the trainees in their OJT. However, they have only agreed that problems encountered the training can affect their performance (x=3.60). Furthermore, there is no significant difference on the level of perception on the factors affecting OJT performance when grouped according to age, course program, and year level. This implies that the respondents have the same perception level on factors affecting performance on OJT. However, the respondents differ in the perception level on time management, personality, and competence as factors affecting performance in OJT. In the area of problems encountered, respondents do not differ in their perception.
