To Begin with, Montag in the beginning of the book was a good citizen for many reasons, he loved his job and was obedient worker. I have found many reasons why he is an obedient worker, It was a pleasure to burn books. He did what society wanted him to do. Thats where he went wrong. You don’t always have to act the same as everyone else. Society wants people to stop thinking for himself, that's why they are taking away books so they can not think for himself. Clarise is one of the reason why Montag is a changed man. For the first time Montag think’s he is happy. Clarisse makes him start questioning the society they live in. Montag will eventually start asking questions about the society they live in. Whose house are we burning? Why do have to burn this whole house just for a couple books. Another turning point is when the old woman died with her book’s rather than live without them. That changed his view on the society like hey, what are we doing with are life? Another good point is when a group of “rebels” who memorized, a book for safekeeping he believes that their right, books change everything, they help are vocabulary, grammar and improved memory. Society needs to get smarter and use their brains books are good for mankind. He eventually he stays home “sick” while he is at home he will read a book. Montag will start making a habit of reading books daily but, that eventually with get him in
