Failed is the most meaningful word in the text “Little Things are Big” by Jesus Colon because it supports the tone of the story and it’s important to the plot. I chose this word because in the text a Puerto Rican male debates whether or not to help a white lady with her kids. After he chooses not to, he feels as if he let her down and her children down.
