How has the director of your chosen film used and adapted the features and conventions of traditional fairy tales?

A fairy tale is a type of short story that features European folkloric fantasy characters (such as dwarves, witches, trolls, fairies e.g.) that usually ends in a happy ending. Originally, fairy tales were first written for adults, but now they are written for children, teens and adults.
Many fairy tales have remained famous and popular as they all contain moral lessons and values, and also add hopeful alternatives to the story. In 2012, a feature film called Snow
White and the Huntsman was released and composed by Rupert Sanders. In Snow White and the Huntsman an evil Queen, Ravena, takes over a kingdom while a princess, Snow
White, is locked in a prison cell keeping her away from being the rightful heir. The princess escapes the kingdom and plans a revenge for Queen Ravena. In this film, Sanders has used romance and he also adapted and turned the image of damsel in distress around.
In traditional fairy tales the story ends with a kiss or princess getting married to a prince. In
Snow White and the Huntsman, Sanders introduces a love triangle between the Dukes son,
William, the Huntsman and Snow White. Snow White and William walk around the frozen forest talking about the queen, and they both stop walking. Sanders uses an over the shoulder close up showing snow white looking into Williams eyes and she places her hand on his cheek, still using the shot, Snow White leans in and kisses William. Then the shot is moved to a close up on both their faces, William pulling away and showing no emotion.
When Snow White has taken a bite of the apple, William pulls her onto his lap and holding her close trying to keep her warm whilst looking into her closed eyes. Sanders had used a over head shot and then going into a close up Snow White in his lap. The screen is filled with cold colours and dark shadows, creating the
